La batterie du système est faible... que faire ? Solved

Question

Hello,

for some time now, my PC has been displaying "System battery is low" at every startup, then it offers me either to ignore it by pressing F1, or "Run setup utility" by pressing F2.

I have already tried to enter by pressing F2, but a window opens and being a new user, I'm afraid of messing things up.

Does anyone know what to do?
Please help me quickly!

Hi!

The battery on your motherboard must be worn out. Try replacing it; it doesn’t cost anything.
If I were seeing this message, that’s what I would do.

Be careful when removing the old battery so you don’t damage the holder. And when you put in the new battery, hold it by the sides; it’s not recommended to touch the top or bottom of a battery.

Starting a PC without a battery or with a dead battery isn’t that serious; all it contains is the BIOS configuration. However, be aware that removing the battery resets the BIOS settings to default.

Hello,
SYSTEM BATTERY LOW: A common message on laptops when the built-in battery test on the motherboard sends a clear and critical low charge signal to the BIOS and the system. You should have a visual indicator available in the Windows systray that will show you the actual remaining charge.
NOTE: Some batteries (e.g. Li-Ion) need to be fully discharged before being recharged; for stability and longevity reasons of the cells (and thus the battery).
So in short: Remove the battery and insert it into a suitable discharger/charger. If your battery no longer holds a charge, replace it (average lifespan of a good and well-maintained laptop battery is 3 to 5 years).

When I turn on my desktop computer that is 4 years old, I get this message. I have to reset the clock. My internet is very slow and I feel like my Norton antivirus is completely destabilized.

The system battery is not providing the correct voltage.

There you go, this has nothing to do with the power supply or anything else, it's the BIOS battery that's malfunctioning.
