Hello,
My PC displays RTC battery low when I turn it on, even with the battery and power connected. Considering that it's no longer under warranty and is 7 years old, what can I do?

Configuration: iPhone / Chrome 51.0.2704.81

    Hello,

Apparently, the BIOS battery of your computer is almost dead (normal after 7 years!), it's a battery (typically a CR2032) located on the motherboard. Just replace it to get rid of this message.
If you don't do it, the message will change to something like "CMOS checksum error, default settings loaded." It's nothing serious; it's just that the BIOS settings have been lost and it loads the default settings. The PC will still be usable, but the time will reset every time you restart.

So I can take one from Géant, it's not a problem as long as it's the same. I had another issue before this one, the computer would beep on startup and when it managed to turn on, I had no keyboard.

This may also be related to the battery.
What is the reference of the computer? Some have different batteries or are soldered to wires, and in those cases, it is better to find a replacement online.
