Hello,

I have assassin's creed on my PC and I really enjoyed it, but my PC is not top-notch, so in order to play smoothly, I lowered the shadows and the resolution.
And I would like to know what the required configuration will be to play assassin's creed 2, to see if it will work well or not.

Thank you for responding.
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 8.0

    3 GB of RAM under XP and 2 GB under Vista... I DOUBT IT! Can I see your sources?

    Because under Vista the game will require more RAM than under XP.

    Hello,

    The required configurations to play AC II are:

    Processor: 2.6 GHz or better
    RAM: 3 GB for Windows XP / 2 GB for Windows Vista
    Graphics Card: 256 MB DirectX® 10.0-compliant video card or DirectX 9.0-compliant card with Shader Model 3.0 or better
    DVD-ROM: Dual-layer DVD-ROM drive
    Free space on your computer: 12GB

    I told you the essentials,
    I hope this will help you,
    goodbye

      Nonsense your configuration is, it's totally nonsense, a graphics card with 256MB that runs AC2 "correctly", a kind of "must see".

      It's false that an AMD Sempron 3000+ performs just as well; it is recommended to have 3 GB of RAM under Vista.

    The required and minimum configuration has been unveiled recently, here it is

    Minimum configuration:

    * - Windows XP (32-64 bits) / Vista (32-64 bits) / 7 (32-64 bits)
    * - Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8 GHz or AMD Athlon 64 X2 2.4 GHz processor
    * - 1.5 GB of RAM (Win XP) / 2 GB of RAM (Win Vista and 7)
    * - Graphics memory: 256 MB, DirectX 9.0
    * - Sound card compatible with DirectX 9.0
    * - Disk space: 8 GB

    Recommended configuration:

    * - Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 2.6 GHz or AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ processor
    * - Graphics card: GeForce 8800 GT or ATI Radeon HD 4700
    * - Graphics memory: 256 MB, DirectX 9.0
    * - 5.1 sound card
    * - Supported graphics cards for output: ATI Radeon X1950, HD 2000/3000/4000/5000 series, NVIDIA GeForce 7/8/9/100/200 series

    The anonymous configuration would be almost normal, just the Vista RAM at 3 GB and XP at 2 GB, there I would say yes, and for the graphics card 256 MB it could surely work if we put everything on Minimum instead of Maximum, and I would say running it at full AC 2 would require a graphics card at 300 € xD and RAM clocked at 1600 MHz xD so there you go.

    It's nonsense what anonymous said, especially about the graphics card...

    Hi,

    I have a Core 2 Duo 3.2GHz, 4GB of RAM, ATI HD4850, the HDD doesn't matter. Is that enough?

    Oh yes, I'm on Vista 64 bit, is that compatible as well?

    Thanks in advance for your insights.

    To be honest, I already have the game and I’m more than halfway through, but I’m experiencing lag (I mentioned the problems just before), whether my graphics are set to maximum or minimum... So I’m playing with all medium settings, and there’s no worsening when my graphics are at maximum and no improvement when they’re at minimum. Could it be because the recommended speed is 2.6 GHz and I only have 2.00 GHz? Or is it because my graphics card is an ATI Radeon 4530 instead of the 4700?
    Normally, if my settings are not good, I should already be experiencing lags with the movement of all characters, during climbing phases and jumps between rooftops and surprise assassinations...
    If my computer can handle medium graphics on the second game, how come I couldn’t play the first one smoothly since it required a lower PC configuration? (I specify that for the first game I was already using medium graphics because otherwise it would crash and ask me to lower the graphic quality).

    Hello, I have a laptop with the following specs:
    Intel Core i3 2.13 GHz
    4 GB of RAM
    Graphics card: ATI Radeon Mobility Radeon HD 5650

    Do you think I could run Assassin's Creed? And the second one? And maybe the third one when it comes out?

    Thanks in advance.

      xD I don't want to be mean but the Intel HD Graphics have at most 64 MB of VRAM so it's really not surprising xD Too bad you don't have a better one, the rest of your components are well above what’s needed ^^'

    Hello
    My problem concerns the video
    Indeed, the sound is clear and plays normally but the video is lagging behind the sound. I don't know what to do, even lowering the resolution doesn't help.
    Thank you for your help.

    Yes, normally it works well with your setup, but laptops tend to overheat, so don’t push it too hard (let the laptop cool down in the meantime).

    Hello, the configurations mentioned above might work if you set everything to a minimum, but at that point, what's the point of playing A.C II if the graphics are terrible???

    A configuration that will definitely work and optimize the game's quality:

    an i5 2.6GHz, 4GB of RAM, and the new ATI Radeon 5700 and above (1GB dedicated), all running on Windows 7.
    For the required space on the HDD, I would suggest at least 20GB of free space for the game to run without issues.

    The downside of this configuration... its price, almost €1000 for just the tower.
    For the party poopers, this configuration will support a good number of games for at least 2 years, so it's something to think about.

    As for me, the choice was quickly made :D

    Change the graphics card; you need an ATI Radeon HD 4780 or something like that.
