Assassin's Creed 2 the bug with Altair help Solved

Question

Hello,
I have a big bug in the game Assassin's Creed 2
Right from the start it's nice -_-'.
The level where we find Acre and Altair has been rushed, but oh well.
In this level, we need to pursue Altair's target...
At some point, she barricades herself in a tower. We then have to climb this tower.
So far, so good. But we can't go all the way up, and yes, when we reach the balcony of the tower (the first one, if others can go higher). Well, there's a door and above it a wooden beam that holds a lamp.
To continue, we need to grab the beam (climb it), and the eagle vision indicates that it's necessary. However, I can't grab this beam; I've tried everything, I've even restarted the game and my Xbox.
So, is this bug only in my version? Do I have to start a new game? Is there some super clever way to get up that I just didn't get?

You need to climb the left wall from the railing and jump onto the beam when you're as high as possible.

Salut, j'avais le problème. J'ai réessayé et j'ai réussi. Il te suffit de monter sur le rebord du balcon, tu grimpes sur le mur et quand tu es au plus haut, appuie sur la touche sauter et dirige ton joystick vers la gauche et il monte sur la poutre.

You go to the small ledge below the beam, press R1 and just make Altair jump calmly without going into the void (in the first Assassin's Creed this part is a viewpoint...).

actually I found it, you have to go to the edge of the balcony and go to the corner of the walls then orient Altair diagonally and jump to the beam!!! it’s not a bug actually it’s the same for everyone!

I also had this problem, actually you shouldn't stand in front of the beam or on the edge next to it, if you see what I mean, but in a corner on the edge and it works after two or three tries and then it's really simple. Have fun playing!

I have this game on PS3, I had the same problem. The solution is to stand on the balcony in front of the beam and press R1 and X at the same time. Solution for PS3.

Even simpler: climb onto the wall, face the beam (almost under the lantern) and (on Xbox) while holding RT, press A twice in quick succession. Altair will jump straight up and grab onto the beam.

Damn, this bug pissed me off, especially after I accidentally managed to get on that f***ing beam and the cutscene froze, unbelievable. Anyway, after reading the forum, I confirm that on Xbox: stand in front of the beam, hold the right trigger, and tap A twice and it’s good. If the cutscene freezes, uninstall the game from the hard drive, replay the scene, and then reinstall it.

Hello everyone,  I have a different problem than the one mentioned above. My image freezes when I need to receive the "secret blade" from Leonardo Da Vinci. Once Leonardo finishes repairing the blade, he gives it to me and at that moment the image freezes and nothing happens =S... I still have access to the menu and the map, but apart from that, nothing at all...  I bought the game on PC two days ago. Should I wait for an update? I had a much worse bug; I was with a sword and fighting, and then I took the weapon from my opponent and killed him. Then a cutscene played, and in the video, instead of putting away the sword that cost me a fortune, I put away the mace in its sheath as if it were the sword I had bought. I had the same thing happen to me, I spent too long trying to climb the tower... and after a few hours of frustration... MIRACLE, I managed to grab the beam, in fact I positioned myself facing the beam on the edge of the balcony with my back to the view and I pressed LT and then A (to jump in place) and I finally made it. Don't complain about "bugs," just try to persevere :) It's as simple as that: you climb the wall on the side (with active profile plus legs), and when Ezio is about to fall, you press legs + active profile + right (if you're on the left of the beam) and ta-da, you land on Maria, Altair's girl :) I hope I helped you (legs and all that's for the buttons, I don't have the Xbox version :/)
