Car stereo: handbrake wire = image lock

I had connected the "handbrake" wire to the ground of the car radio.

Because I’m struggling to fit the video and the thing is I also had a hard time forcing it in with all the cables, it's really tough, so I don't want to take it apart for nothing and then struggle like crazy to put it back together... By the way, if anyone knows how to use the various audio and video cables (and I'm skipping some) at the back, because it’s already a hassle to fit the unit in with that, I don’t see where the extra wires are supposed to go once connected to the car radio cable?? Maybe some plastic from the car's interior needs to be removed, right?

You connect the handbrake wire to your car's ground, and voilà, it works without any problems.

I connected the pink wire to the ground but it doesn't change anything; I put it on the positive, but that doesn't change anything either? Is there a kind soul out there who can help me?

However, you need to have quite a bit of space for the placement because there are a lot of cables to fit, personally I have a Golf III and it was a nightmare!

And then everything works, I have the same and I connected it to the positive terminal of the unit and it works, but be careful not to be distracted while driving.
