Hello,

I have a problem with my Caritel international intercom from the CFI company, model WDP 500. My handset no longer works, even when it is charging. Should I change the battery? If so, where can I find one?

My outdoor intercom also does not work, even after changing the batteries. Any ideas?

Does anyone have the manual for this intercom?

Thank you in advance
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

    Hello
the manual doesn't provide any technical explanations. In my case, it's definitely the battery that's dead. I find batteries online for around 20 euros, but they're all NiMH. The problem is knowing whether the charger and the original battery are NiMH or NiCd. (A NiCd charger cannot charge NiMH batteries.) For the intercom batteries, even if they're new, the installation does not work if the handset has its batteries discharged.
I can't find any technical information online; I only have the option of calling CFI EXTEL, the manufacturer of the product. The manual is easily downloadable online.

    If this can help you...

    Hello,

I'm encountering the same problem: the handset is no longer working.

Do you have an address to get batteries?

I can't seem to find any.

    Thank you in advance.

Hello, I just saw your issue, and it turns out I have the same device as you and of course the same problem. I have the manual; if you're still interested, I can send it to you. Since you posted your problem, have you been able to resolve it? If so, I'm interested...

Hello, I also have the same problem as you guys; and despite several searches, I haven't managed to find one, or at least at the customer service at Leroy Merlin for a price of 42 euros, I think that is expensive because today on the market a complete product is worth 99 euros, still expensive, Merlin. If you have found the answer to your problem, I'm all ears.
    Best regards;

    Hello,
I couldn't solve my problem. At M. Bricolage, they could send it directly to Extel for repair, but if I remember correctly, it would cost around 80 €, almost the price of a new one.
So, I resigned myself to buying another one and luckily I found one on Le Bon Coin that has never been used for 70 €.
    Good luck.

    Best regards.
