How to remove the number 1 from a Word page

Hello,
I've inserted numbers into a Word document, but I would like the first page not to have a number. Can someone please help me? Thank you

    Good evening,

    By pressing F1 for help and typing: remove numbering from the first page, you will get your answer.

    Otherwise, in Word 2007, click on the Page Layout tab, then the Layout tab, and check Different First Page.

    In Word 2002, click on Insert, Page Number, and uncheck "start at first page".

      In the Page Layout tab, there is no Layout tab anywhere in Word 2007.
