Hello, I’m sharing my problem:
I have a SAGEM ISD 74 TNT SAT decoder. I tried to turn it on to watch TV, and it stays stuck on "init." Despite what is indicated in the user manual, I unplugged it (with and without the cable connected to the satellite), but when I turn it back on, it’s still the same.
What can I do? Should I reset it? If so, how should I do that (I find the manual is not very detailed...) ?
Thank you for your responses!

FREE AND EFFECTIVE SIMPLE SOLUTION (obtained from the SAGEM hotline - 01 70 48 04 83... to my great surprise, very effective!!!)
. unplug the decoder
. after 10 / 15 seconds, plug it back in
. IMMEDIATELY - without turning on the decoder - press the P+ button on the decoder several times quickly - and not on the remote control. (at least 10 presses)
. as soon as the display shows 'd001', let the device run... in my case, the counter went up to d099.
. then, an F001 display appeared, etc...
. finally, the time was displayed -> the forced update was finished (in total, about 5 minutes: the hotline operator had told me that the update could last 15 / 20 minutes)
. I turned on the decoder and..... MIRACLE :)
everything is working again like before! PHEW, because my device was no longer under warranty...
Good luck to everyone!!!!

thank you for your warranty notice, I had found the one for the ISD 91 HD Sagem and I also have the 74, so I'm keeping it safe in case of any issues.
My problem is that whenever I turn on my SAGEM ISD74, it updates SYSTEMATICALLY every day! It takes a good fifteen minutes each time. I don't understand why it does this?? Plus, every time it doesn't ask me to confirm or anything else, it just shows on the screen "updating your decoder." Can someone help me? Thanks!
