Analog Power Management

Question

Hello,
When I turn on my PC or restart it, my screen goes to sleep (I think) because it displays in a blue box "Analog power management" and then the screen turns off.. I changed my power supply yesterday and it's still the same. My screen is a LG Flatron slim.
Is there anyone who can help me?

Hello,
I too, overnight, without knowing
why, "power management" and nothing more!
So I contacted LG at 3280, I said "LG"
then press 4 on the phone etc..
The lady on the line asked me for my screen type,
I explained my problem, I gave her
my details for the exchange and then she asked me for the
resolution??
The problem is I didn't have time to find the resolution before it
cut off again. (I was supposed to call her back for the answer).
If someone could point me in the right direction to give me any
resolution that wouldn't harm my exchange, that would be cool!

I had the same problem with a brand new 22-inch LG screen that messed up from the start

The screen was replaced by customer service, and the same problem persisted

Several phone calls to LG left me hanging, with them saying it was due to my cable

or a source problem... I changed the DVI cable, which cost me 25 euros for nothing

I tested the screen on my three other PCs, and nothing worked, it was still not functioning

Solution==>> I finally sold, rather I gave away, this screen and banned LG/Golstar from my future purchases

Same here, I have 2 screens on an NVIDIA 9300GE with one VGA port and the other DVI
My first screen, the original one (a Packard Bell), works perfectly on the VGA, no issues
However, the other one (LG Flatron W1934S) doesn’t work at all; it turns on and shows "power management" and then goes into sleep mode
This screen only has a VGA port, so to connect it to the DVI port on my GPU, I used a VGA to DVI adapter which I plugged at the back of my screen and then ran a DVI cable to my GPU
The LG screen works fine on VGA, but on DVI all I get is "power management" and sleep mode
I’ve tried changing the refresh rate and resolution, but it still doesn’t work
On my first screen (the Packard Bell), it doesn’t work either with the DVI adapter and cable
If anyone has a solution or a lead to resolve my problem, I’d appreciate it because my LG screen is a Christmas gift, and I would really like to make it work normally with another screen without getting this "power management" message
I've been at this for 5 hours and still nothing

I have the same problem with an LG FLATRON W2241S screen, and when I play Counter-Strike, it goes into a kind of sleep mode and then the message appears: Power Management. After that, it turns black, and there's no way to do anything except restart the PC. Does anyone know the solution?

Hello everyone,

I had exactly the same problem after coming back from a weekend trip. When I turned on my computer, there was a black screen at startup with "power management", and then the screen went to sleep.
Fortunately, I had LogMeIn (a remote control software) so I was able to connect. After several checks like setting the resolution to minimum, unplugging and replugging the graphics card.
But the problem was with the drivers. So I went to the site: www.touslesdrivers.com/index.php?v_page=29, ran an update scan, and installed 2 drivers for my graphics card.
Now it works.

I have the same problem. I have an LG Flatron w2363v and out of the blue, for the past few days, the screen turns off and a small blue square saying "DVI Power Management" appears. This happens while gaming, and I have to force shut down my PC.
Otherwise, it's fine for desktop use and browsing. It has always worked well until now (I've had it for less than a year, purchased at the same time as my Dell tower), and I can't figure out what's causing it!!!
My GPU is an NVIDIA GeForce GTS 240!!!

I also have this type of monitor and issues.
I found a solution to keep the screen on without it mentioning DVI power management, which is to turn on the PC first and wait for the drivers to load before turning on the monitor.
As for the cut-off during use, it has never happened to me, but I empathize.
It's apparently a bug from LG and not a graphics card or driver problem. (Unless there are LG drivers to fix this bug)
One day I will try to check the hidden menu to see if there is a way to disable power management.

I just had the same issue with the LG E2341, it happened right after I installed updates for my motherboard and graphics card...
I simply went to the power settings in Windows and set "turn off the screen" to "never"
since then everything has been working perfectly.

Hello everyone!

I wanted to tell you how I managed to solve this problem.
First of all, you need to turn on the speakers or check that sound can come from the PC to confirm that Windows has started correctly.
After the Windows startup sound plays, the screen will be black, as usual. You then need to shut down the PC blindly from the start menu and make sure there is an internet connection. The PC will apply the updates and then shut down.
Turn it back on, and hopefully, the problem will be solved.
For my part, this method worked.

I feel like there are many possible solutions.
This clearly suggests that the cause of this "power management" is not unique.
In my case, I opened my tower and cleaned everything with a vacuum:
- the back of the power supply (big block at the top of the tower)
- the small fan on the graphics card
- the motherboard overall
- under the processor fan (personally, I think the blockage was there because there was a thick layer of dust between the fan and the processor.)

There you go, hoping this helps some of you.

P.S.: I know that opening a tower and unclipping a processor fan may scare some people, but honestly, I'm not a pro at computers. You just have to dive in, taking it slow and taking the time to really observe what you're doing.

Hello everyone, I have the same problem:
I just received my new PC (brand new): hardware.fr gaming plus with windows 10 installed and partitioned (by ldlc).
with the following video outputs:
-VGA -> motherboard
-DVI -> graphics card (nvidia geforce gtx 970)
-HDMI -> graphics card

When I plug in my monitor (a LG flatron w1943ss) "power management" appears then the monitor goes into sleep mode.
I tried through the VGA port -> "power management"
through the DVI port of the graphics card with an adapter -> the screen displays "check source" (as if it were not connected to anything)
With my TV through the HDMI port of the graphics card -> no signal

Since the PC is new, most of the suggested fixes do not work.
For your information, the VGA cable and the monitor were tested 10 minutes before connecting to the new tower with my laptop.
