Black screen power management

Hello,
Here is my problem, yesterday while playing Oblivion my screen went black with a message "Dsub Power Management" (my screen is an LG), but the game was still running because I could still hear the sound.
Anyway, since then I can't turn the computer back on: When I turn it on I hear a beep, and the CPU fan struggles to start, after about 3-4 seconds all the fans are running fine but the screen displays "Dsub Power Management" and then goes to sleep.
I want to point out that my screen works fine when I connect it to another computer, and that when I connect another screen to this computer it doesn’t display anything either.
So I don’t know where this is coming from, I’ve checked all the connections and everything seems okay. I need help, thank you.
Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 3.6.8

Your power supply doesn't seem to be strong enough apparently.
Have you already played this game before this breakdown?

I have a 500W power supply and I haven't changed anything in this PC for two years and it has always worked well, so I don't think it's a power supply issue.
