Error 051099-1 DSi Wifi connection Solved/Closed

Hello everyone!

I got my DSi!!!!!!!!!!! Woohoooooo!!
I can't connect!!!!!!!!!! Noooooo!!

I entered the information for my Free Box, and despite that, it still shows me the same error message:

Unable to find a
compatible access point.
Check the SSID settings
and move closer
to an access point.
...

Error code: 051099-1

I successfully completed the test.
I went into advanced settings, and it took me to connections 4, 5, and 6.
You go into one of those and from there you can configure everything.
I filled in my static IP, the DNS, the proxy if there is one, the security mode WEP, WPA, WPA2, etc.

So the test was successful, but as you will quickly see, we don't have a browser or the log to browse, so we will need to find that on the net.

However, don't touch the MTU value at 1400, it works with that!

Actually, I recommend you do as I mentioned earlier:
advanced connections and configure everything, set your IPs to static, fill in the DNS and proxy if necessary. This way, you will see that several types of security are offered: WPA2; WPA, WEP, and so on.

I just connected my son's device to a Sagem livebox.

You shouldn’t use connections 1 to 3 but instead go to "advanced settings" where you can access choices 4 to 6, then "Modify" "SSID" e.g.: Livebox-b2fa, then "WPA-PSK(TKIP)": enter the key. You should not choose "WEP key" if that option is available but WPA.

Save it and test it with the livebox in association mode (button next to the power supply)

Hello,

I sincerely apologize for the delay!

I advise you all to set the IP and DNS yourself; you can see your DNS by doing: start; cmd; ipconfig

and the DNS being used by your PC will be the same as that for your DSI. As for the IP, check that of your PC, and if you only have one or two PCs and your IPs are static, set the last three-digit series slightly higher than those of your PCs.

For example: if you have one PC at 192.168.1.2 and another at 192.168.1.3, choose your DSI IP as 192.168.1.4 or 192.168.1.5, for instance. But make sure to go into advanced settings. Also, check your protection type on your box for the password. Don't change the MTU value at first!
If there is no proxy, perfect.

Here are the details of the settings with DSi and normal Sagem Livebox:

Choose "advanced settings" to access connections 4 to 6

then "connection 5" for example

then "search for an access point" the DSi will find your Livebox as well as those of your neighbors

select yours "Livebox-f5c6" for example

then WPA-PSK(TKIP) will appear
select the white rectangle below

enter your Livebox code using uppercase letters but without spaces between 4x digits or letters

OK
OK
Save Ok

"Ok for the test" make sure the Livebox is in association mode first

the Livebox will start the test

if there is a connection error see:
"SSID" shows the name of your Livebox
if "obtaining IP address automatically" and "obtaining DNS automatically" have "yes" selected;
"proxy server" should have "no" selected
and "MTU value" = 1400

I looked for the access point and entered the key (uppercase letters, which is what I wasn't doing!!!) and it worked right away!!!

I wanted to thank you, since last Saturday I've been trying in vain to connect the DSi to the wifi with the Livebox, and I finally succeeded.

Without wishing to be disrespectful, I’m interrupting the discussion because I managed to connect my nds i to the internet through my "freebox."  I only had to choose the type of encryption (WEP or WAP/AES, etc...) Then enter the code that was previously recorded on the freebox.com site.  Everything works perfectly. I see that many people know their stuff on the forum, I posted my question but I haven't received a response, so I'm trying here. I'm with club-internet and I have a TECOM AH4222, and I can't access the DSI shop to download the internet channel. I managed to configure the console, and when I do the connection test, it says the test is successful. When I want to go to the shop channel, I can log in, then I accept the terms, sometimes I can get to the page asking to link my club-nintendo account on the DSI and it crashes every time I want to link it or not. Can someone shed some light on this for me? Thanks.

Salut à toi, en fait je pense qu'il faut que tu tapes dans la barre d'adresse ton adresse IP et donc tu vas tomber sur les paramètres de ta Livebox. Après, tu vas dans configuration, ensuite tu vas dans avancés et ensuite dans sans fil. Après, tu mets ta sécurité en clé WEP seulement. Ensuite, tu me soumets, tu attends et voilà, tu as juste à rentrer la clé WEP.

Suivez tous mes conseils : il faut aller dans paramètres avancés, connexion 4. Ensuite (moi j'ai une clé WEP), il faut entrer la clé, mais si vous avez une autre clé que la clé WEP, il faut mettre la clé que vous voulez, mais pas votre vraie clé, sinon vous n'allez pas réussir. Après, il faut mettre le SSID et vous appuyer sur le bouton de votre box (il faut appuyer sur un bouton et après ça va clignoter et vous faites le test de connexion et vous avez internet. Dites-moi si ça a marché. J'espère que vous allez vous en sortir, moi ça a marché. PS : n'oubliez pas qu'il faut qu'il y ait un bouton qui fasse clignoter votre box.

For all those who have a Livebox, I encountered the same problem. I can connect to the internet when there are no games on the console (WPA protection > which corresponds to the wifi key)
however, when I want to play online, it only recognizes WEP keys (that's where the issue lies) so you either need to change the protection of your Livebox (from WPA to WEP) or buy a wifi adapter or wait for Nintendo to release an update..
so basically no concrete answer

I managed to get the internet on my DSi: I did:

-> Console settings
-> Internet
-> Connection settings
-> Advanced settings
-> Connection 4, 5, or 6.
-> Search for an access point
-> Your box should normally appear, click on it.
-> Change the security type
-> WPA-PSK (TKIP)
-> OK
-> Security key. (All in uppercase, all attached).
-> Perform the connection test (Yes)
-> Normally it works.

If IT DOESN'T WORK, YOU CAN DO THE SAME EXCEPT WITH CONNECTION 1, 2, or 3.
I SUCCEEDED WITH MY UNCLE WHO IS AN IT SPECIALIST. GOOD LUCK!

try this 1: connect to your livebox home, explanation: when you connect to the internet, where you have the website address e.g. https://www.google.fr/?gws_rd=ssl you delete the COMPLETE address!! including the http... and you type the IP address of your PC in the form 197.169.2.8 there you will land on your livebox home with your network name, etc. you enter your connection identifiers NB: if identifier=admin password = admin 2: go to the "configuration" tab then "livebox" then "wifi settings" There at the bottom you will see a list where your PC is located with its IP address, Mac, etc. all the devices authorized to connect to your livebox are in this list, the goal being to register your DSi in this list :D 3: go to "advanced settings" and add your DSi with its IP address and its Mac address found in your DSi under "internet" "options" "general information" 4: check that your DSi console is properly listed in the previously described list 5: redo the connection that led you to that damn error message and hop it works

Sorry to bring this up again, but I'm having an issue with the Wi-Fi connection.  Everything is set up with a fixed IP and DNS... that's not the problem, I'm familiar with that.  The console was able to update through the update settings.  But it's impossible to go online; the console shows error 000006 -2 when I test the internet connection.  Does anyone know this issue? Nintendo France doesn't know it.
