Hello,
I've been having an issue for a few weeks with my laptop (Acer Aspire 7220 with Vista). When I try to watch a streaming video online (from different sites), the CPU usage spikes to 100%, causing the playback to become completely choppy.
I then opened the task manager, showed all processes, and saw that it was the process "Windows Audio Device Graph Isolation" that was hogging the CPU. Obviously, when I kill the process, the videos become smooth again but with no sound.
Why does this problem arise after a year of normal operation? How can I resolve it? Thank you for your help.
For your information, I've already done a virus scan and driver updates with no success.

Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 7.0
As for the visible part, they don't seem to be blocked; that said, I've never taken the laptop apart since it's a portable one. Is it doable without everything blowing up in my face?
Thanks.
