Facebook - Can you hide a friend from your friends?

Thank you for this very interesting link, but unfortunately it does not address the problem exposed, which is hiding one’s friends list from one’s own friends. We are at a level of paranoia above the one that simply involves hiding it from the eyes of the internet: something I have already resolved by completely disabling indexing.

That's correct. The private account is now accessible to friends of friends at a minimum and no longer just to friends. This means you can be added by mutual friends. It gets annoying, especially thinking of certain people I know from the circle or, for example, a more ridiculous and telling example: someone is a fan of a singer, this singer has a private account (the singer is smart), a fan adds the musicians, but the musicians are friends with the singer... the fans can add the singer, and additionally access his friends list. If the singer in question had created a Facebook with a personal intention, not a professional one, it would be a nightmare. Someone I know has had this problem. Since the changes took place, he has 89 more friend requests.

Furthermore, since noon, the big new feature is that friends are mandatory displayed to friends; you can hide them from the rest of the world, but your friends see your list. I didn't hesitate long: Account --> Deactivate --> YES.

While telling them, "when you put back proper settings like in the old version, I will return." I invite you to do the same; you suddenly realize that the sky is blue even in December, it revitalizes.

Indeed, I have also just deactivated my account! I do not want my friends list to be visible to my friends!! I will return to Facebook once this issue is resolved!!

Even if they don’t give real answers, I think that if every dissatisfied person with the new Facebook threatens to permanently close their account, they might eventually think about it because it’s not in their interest... Or maybe someone doesn’t have contacts in the press? If an article were to appear about all the drawbacks of Facebook (especially regarding privacy) in a major newspaper like Le Monde or even in 20 Minutes distributed for free, like on the front page (or at least listed in the summary), so that as many people as possible read it... it might carry more weight... indeed the groups like "against the new Facebook" they probably don’t take too seriously... But as soon as the press or TV gets involved... that’s something else...

What they say is that it's normal for them not to respond, it's the automatic reply we receive every time we write to them.

Then there has already been some noise around privacy, but oh well, and the threats to close the account too. But nothing changes. At the same time, we close the account and open another fake one to see the changes, so it's the same for them, we'll have to come to terms with it for now.
