What search for friendS?

I admit that when you type, for example, the letter "M" in friend search, you come across the person who last visited your profile. Try it out with one of your friends, you’ll see :)

Isn't it the opposite? The person who appears first when we type the first letter of their first name is the one whose profile we viewed???

I think it must be a mix of the two.

For me, when I go to a friend's profile and look at her list on the left, those are close friends or people who have recently left her messages/comments. I don’t appear on that list, even though I have quite a few interactions.
However, with another account, when I go to this friend's profile, my first account appears in the list on the left.
On my end, I have the timeline. There are six small thumbnails that raise a lot of questions for me because I always see the same faces with little change. And they’re not always people I see every day of my life...
My entire list, like yours software-wise, has a few close friends at the top, but also people I might have talked to quickly on Facebook once. The common point is that these people use the site very regularly... so I'm really questioning this...

The suggested names as potential friends are taken from our contacts list in our email address among other sources... I have proof of this because at one point, on FB, I was suggested a person who had no connection to my friends or my friends' friends. The only place this name appeared was in my contacts list from my email account!!! We are being searched without knowing and without giving consent.

Of course we get searched! When we're on FB, that is, when we're really exposed! We don't hide our nudity here. Everyone controls everyone! So there's no point in lamenting!

Indeed, now when you go to a friend's profile, and you click on "Friends", their friends are no longer listed in alphabetical order, but in "random" order. However, this randomness is not so random: you can check, for most of your friends (even on your profile), the first friends displayed are often your best friends, and NEVER the person who is in your list without you really knowing why. Is it a coincidence? I don't think so. I've already talked about this with friends, who also found it strange. It's all the more evident when you have many friends, say 1000, and out of these 1000, it's randomly the closest ones who are ranked 1, 2, 3, etc...

We rarely talk in "instant messaging", we never comment on each other's statuses, in short: very few interactions! However, when I click on his "FRIENDS", I always appear in the top ranks! Sometimes first, sometimes fifth, alongside his ex, his best buddies, etc. In short, people who often visit his profile, I'm sure of it.

The same principle applies in "friend search"; the first "suggested friends" are often people who have visited our profile (verified: several times, guys who had flirted with me, with very few mutual friends, magically appeared in the "friend search" section... even though I had never looked them up)
Also, I had noted that in instant messaging, the "small friend squares" on the left are sorted in order (from the one we talk to the most, to the one we talk to the least...). But if Facebook also goes so far as to sort friends in order of those who visit our page the most, to those who visit it the least OR in the order of the most recent visitors to our profile in the last few days, I find that GRAVE.

Anyway, if someone could confirm or refute what I just said... I find it a bit scary.
