Hello,
I think there's a pencil stuck in my HP Officejet 5615 printer. My daughter finds it very amusing to hide her pencils in strange places, but she's really outdone herself this time!
Actually, I believe it's a pencil. I turned the printer upside down (without shaking it) to listen for it moving around, but I heard nothing. And when I try to print, it says paper jam even though there’s no paper in the tray. Since this dear 5615 has already had its quirks (it only wants to print when it feels like it), could it really be a pencil or is it just going completely haywire?
So, does anyone know how to open this machine up or do I need to take it to the printer surgery service?
Thanks for your responses

Avoid repair; given the labor cost, it’s better to buy a new one (new multifunction + cartridges ~ €70)
Otherwise, you can try to disassemble your printer
I didn't find a tutorial, but since it's already been a pain, arm yourself with a screwdriver (crosshead, preferably small diameter, long shaft)
PS: Buy a kit for your daughter or give her a slap; it will deter her from doing it again if it's really one of those crayons ;)

You’re welcome; good luck
If you can’t manage to take it apart, get yourself a pair of gloves, safety goggles (ski goggles are fine), and a big HEAVY HAMMER and smash the printer, it feels good...
