Hello,
When I try to print a file, I am prompted to save a .prn file instead of printing. I can't find a solution to fix this. I have tried updating my printer driver and my software for printing (Adobe Reader, Excel), but nothing works.
I want to point out that my printer is properly connected to the computer, that I haven't checked the "Print to file" option, and that my printer is correctly selected.
I tried using software to print .prn files (Prinfile), but when I try to start a print job, it still wants to create another .prn file.
And all of this started after the last update of Windows 10.
I have tried every angle on this issue, but nothing works, I can't find anything!
Thank you for your help!
Configuration: Windows 10 Home version 18362.295

Hello,
Giving the exact model of the printer wouldn't hurt... and the type of connection.
-- Your print is set up to output to a file rather than the printer... we need to find out why. It might not be in this box that it happens..?
-- This print ... which software is it coming from..? Word... for example, or something else.?
-- You should have the option of several printers... when you print a document... Not all of them are physical printers..
-- You can install "Adobe Reader" on your PC and it will create a virtual printer that will output documents as .PDF files. It's another form of printing to a file.
-- Provide a screenshot of your printer manager. Let's clearly see your printer... Or not.
Start==>Devices and Printers=== what do we see..??
