Hello,
To solve my problem (see above), I consulted the web, and I found a command prompt in DOS
net user username administrator /active:yes NET HELPMSG 2221. I tried it, and the response was: user not found. However, when I go to the Control Panel, I go to my session - manage another account, the other session appears, but it is not active. Can someone help me please? Have a nice day

Configuration: Windows Vista Firefox 2.0

  Hello Zaboukou, thank you for your response. When I run the prompt, the computer replies that HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE is not recognized as an internal or external command, an executable program, or a batch file.

In XP: control panel > user account > double click on the session > activate the session

It should be about the same in Vista.

(exc, 2 msg, it's a small technical issue)

  Hello 1000trad, Thank you for your responses. By going through the control panel, I need to access my session (standard user) to reach the Administrator account, where I can then set a password, manage another account... BUT I cannot activate this account, the operation is not permitted. When I run a command prompt in DOS, the response is that the username cannot be found. So I'm going in circles.

  What do you mean by super user, is it the one that is rated Administrator?

```

  When I enter your command, it then asks me to provide a password, the domain, and the time. When I write the command, I have to replace user with the name given to the account, I suppose?
