Hello,

Many internet users try to get free credits in various games (Habbo, Dofus, SeaFight, DarkOrbit, etc.)

Know that free credits do not exist.
They are all scams, without exception.

Scam #1:
Sending a special email (sometimes with strange commands), containing your password, to an email address. The person who receives the email will steal your account or credits.
Never give, NEVER your password. Do not type it on any web page outside the official game site.

Scam #2:
Typing your login and game password on a special site that promises you credits.
Even if the site looks very serious, the person who designed the site will also steal your password.

Scam #3:
Sending a code via SMS, for example to 81027.
It's a scam: you won't receive any credits, but you will pay for the premium SMS.

It is impossible to get free credits. These game sites do not distribute them, as it is their source of revenue. Their goal: to lure you in with a free game at first, and then make you pay for options with credits.

Don't be fooled: Never give away your password, and do not send SMS.

praiseworthy approach, but unfortunately useless..
people who fall for this kind of method never bother to check whether it's a scam or not.
hundreds of messages like this exist, it changes nothing.

First of all, I completely disagree with the first message because when you pay with SMS, it works very well. I have done this more than once and I received credits. Free credits do not exist, that's true, but my point concerns SMS. Don’t believe it because when you buy credits with SMS, you receive them; beyond that, I agree but this point intrigues me a lot. So please change this as soon as possible. I do not agree; the rest is true but apart from that, it is false. I completely disagree, so please correct it!!!!!

I think that generalizing about scams in all "free" games is a mistake... In my opinion, it would be more useful to teach people to communicate how they were scammed in a specific game, directly at the location where they found the tip. Indeed, if one cannot vote or report the dubious topic to a moderator, it's best to avoid testing it... However, we must not forget to inform the person looking for such tips by providing the link to the game's support so they can inquire about what to expect... For example, on IMVU, there are two types of credits: "promo credits" and "credits". The credits are paid via credit card, Paypal, and SMS. The "promo credits" are free, obtained by playing with one's dog (inside the software), visiting the "new products" page (on the official IMVU site), and playing the lottery (on the "spin free" page of the official IMVU site)... What is scandalous, however, are the offers from IMVU's partners (offered on the official site) that either do not work (in the best case) or are simply VIRUSES and other malware...

NB: There are other ways to obtain credits, but I do not know to what extent they are free, nor how they work (I am thinking of the stickers on the home page)... There are also tips provided by IMVU that are no longer current...
