Hello,
I have had an Epson Stylus CX3200 printer for 5 years that has never given me any problems until yesterday.
After a classic paper jam, the red light remains on and the LCD screen displays the message: Printer Error - Check your documentation or contact your technical support if necessary.
I found answers to this type of problem on the internet: The printer needs to be reset. But I can't complete the process.
Does anyone have the rest of the solution? Here's where I am:
1- With the printer turned off, I press the Stop + Color Copy buttons simultaneously and turn on the printer while keeping the buttons pressed
2- The LCD screen displays: Init. EEPROM
3- At this point, I should just confirm by pressing the Color Copy button, but it doesn't work: I see on the LCD screen that the printer is rebooting, but I go back to the same error message.

I managed to reset it, but after turning it off and then back on, I got the same error message again.
In fact, I just identified the problem which is "mechanical".
It's actually the support at the back where you put the paper: there is a small flap that should be kept closed. When I hold it down with my hand, it works with just one sheet: but there must be a spring or something broken, and when the first sheet passes, the flap stays open, and it shows an error.
Has anyone encountered this kind of problem? Can it be repaired by oneself?
