Nokia e71 memory card

Hello,
I acquired a Nokia E71 with a 2GB memory card. The small problem is that the phone does not recognize the memory card. It tells me that no card is inserted in the phone!!!!
I don't understand, could you please help me?

I had the same problem and I almost bought another memory card. However, I took the card out and reinserted it, but not too deeply like a madman. The phone finally recognized the card, phew!!!

I have the same problem. I have already done a soft reset and a hard reset unfortunately without result. Have you found a solution?

Hello,
I just acquired a Nokia E71 and I have the same issue with the memory card.
It stops all my applications and a little message "remove the memory card and press OK" keeps popping up!!!!
Has anyone solved this problem?

You must use only the memory card that you bought with the phone; otherwise, the others won't work. It did the same thing to me.

Hello, since you've already solved a problem, I'm reaching out to you. I just got the Nokia E71, and my issue is that I want to remove the original memory card. However, when I press down on the end of the memory card (as stated in the booklet), it doesn't eject. If you could help me, I would really appreciate it! =)

So I’m trying to see if this will work because I think the first time it didn’t show anything at all, and the second time it shows something, so it should work. I feel the same way as you, Cloéé! When I plug it in, it looks like Chinese or I don’t know what language. I also removed the battery while I was encrypting it; I didn’t know what encryption was, I messed everything up. I lost all my photos and music and I don’t know what to do. I can’t even delete the files in that weird language. Did you find a solution since you left your comment? Please tell me you did because I’m really upset about losing all my music and photos... Good evening, I have the same problem as Cloé and Maariye. Everything was fine for me for a year, until the day my phone told me to complete the installation, etc. I pressed OK and it encrypted 80% of my SD card. Most of my documents were professional :( I can't find anyone online who has the solution!

Hello everyone!

I had the same problem for a month! Bad manipulation, issue with the memory card encryption, and then nothing on my phone (photos, videos, apps)

Simply put, you need to turn off your phone, remove the memory card, the battery, and the SIM card, blow out some dust! Put the SIM card and battery back in, turn the phone back on. When it’s operational, put the memory card back in, and voilà! Everything is back!

I also just bought the E71 today, at first it was able to play my music and find my photos on my old 8GB memory card.
But now it's not working!!!! I put the card back in without pushing it too hard but still nothing :S

I was going to someone's place and so I kept the 3 battery bars for the evening, so I turned off my phone (NOKIA E 71). I turn it back on and surprise, everything on my memory card is gone (photos, videos, music)! :S
Does anyone have a solution for my phone to recognize the card??
