Hello,
When I plug a USB stick into my Xbox 360, it doesn't recognize it whether I'm trying to read a video, music, or images. By the way, is it possible to get a USB stick recognized by an Xbox 360?

Check the formatting type of your USB drive: FAT32 or NTFS?
NTFS doesn't seem to be supported by the Xbox 360. I tried it and nothing happened, as if the device wasn't detected.
Whereas FAT32 is perfectly supported by the console; you insert it and the drive is immediately recognized, allowing you to read your media files (.mp3, .avi, .mp4, and seemingly .mkv).
A problem arises!
The main difference between these two formatting types is the file size limit when transferring files to a FAT32 USB drive!
Unlike NTFS formatting, you can't move large files onto a FAT32 drive (at least, I don't know how).
A 720p (HD ready) movie that takes about 4.7 GB therefore cannot be viewed on the Xbox 360 via a USB drive.
...I hope there's still a way... I'll continue the search.-

Hello,
Here is my problem: I have a Kingston DataTraveler Locker+ 8GB USB drive, and I want to use it as storage for my Xbox 360, but my Xbox 360 won't read it. I have already used a USB drive for storage that worked perfectly, so I think the problem lies with my Kingston DataTraveler Locker+ USB drive because it has a CDFS partition which is used as security software (it asks for a password every time I connect it). I have already tried to delete this CDFS partition but without success :( How can I make this USB drive readable for Xbox 360? Thank you for your help :) -
For my part, I have (finally) managed to get my USB drive recognized by the Xbox; however, it only has 1.8GB, and according to the Xbox after setup, there are 1.3GB left, which is enough for a movie: that is my initial intention, to use it for movies, so I don’t need more space.
When I get to the computer, copy/paste doesn’t work because there is no space left, and in fact, the properties of the drive show that there is barely 3MB of space left.
Can someone enlighten me?
P.S.: Does anyone still need help getting their USB drive to be read? -
