Uninstalling BullGuard Antivirus

Hello,
To anyone interested!
I bought a Medion laptop at Aldi, which comes pre-installed with, among others, Vista, Bullguard, and two programs related to Aldi and Medion. Vista, Medion, and Aldi don't bother me. It's BullGuard that's the problem.
To ensure the success of all the basic installations I wanted on my PC, I bought the BullGuard antivirus online for a year. It works perfectly but significantly slows down the startup of the PC. On the other hand, it cost me 69.95 euros, and it's up for renewal next October!! Since there are free antivirus programs available on the internet, I would like to download one, but I first need to completely uninstall BullGuard, which is strongly (!!) discouraged in the manual. Additionally, I am warned about potential malfunctions and conflicts with other imported antivirus software. BullGuard thus traps its users!
My question is simple. Can I safely uninstall BullGuard permanently and how should I proceed? Thank you for your response.
Configuration: Windows Vista Firefox 3.0.4

    Hello
To uninstall BullGuard, go to C:/Program Files/BullGuard Ltd/BullGuard/Uninstall, the uninstallation will be clean and you will then be able to download another antivirus.

I uninstalled Bullgard, but when I try to install another antivirus like AVG free, it doesn’t work because it refuses the installation, saying that Bullgard is still present even though it doesn’t show up anywhere!!!! Help!!!!!

    Hello,

yes, I really think you can uninstall this antivirus without any risk. To do this, close the antivirus from the toolbar, then go to the Windows control panel and then to "add/remove programs", select the antivirus and start the uninstallation.

For free antivirus programs, there are many. Personally, I use Avira Antivir and I recommend you use it, it is really effective against viruses, trojans, and rootkits.
