The absolute path to the update must be (note the capital letters):

USB:\\PS3\UPDATE\PSUPDATE.PUP

USB:\\ meaning that the name of the key is "USB"

Thank you!! For beginners, it means to create a folder named PS3 on the USB stick, inside that folder another folder named UPDATE, and in that folder, you need to put the update you downloaded!

I found the answer to your topic:

You need to create a PS3 folder, then inside that folder another UPDATE folder, and then the update file inside of it (make sure to respect the capital letters)
like this.

PS3\UPDATE\ update file.

It's the same principle for game saves, except you need to create a SAVE folder inside the PS3 folder.

J'ai téléchargé la mise à jour 3.41 parce que mon disque dur avait grillé. J'en ai acheté un neuf, je l'ai mis, et là la Play me dit qu'il faut la mise à jour 3.41 sur une clé USB. C'est ce que j'ai fait, je l'ai mise sur la clé, j'appuie sur start et select en même temps, et là il me dit qu'aucune donnée de mise à jour applicable n'a été trouvée. Comment je fais, s'il te plaît ?

Hello, I bought a new hard drive. When I turn on the PS3 slim, it asks me to press START + SELECT. I do it and it writes
