Hello,
I just acquired an HP Pavilion dv7 1145ef without Vista, but the Wi-Fi isn't working.
My Freebox v5 works just fine and the Wi-Fi works well throughout the house.
It's my laptop that can't detect it. However, I have activated the Wi-Fi, tried to connect (but it can't find any networks), fiddled with the Wi-Fi card and driver, disabled the "allow the system to turn off this device to save power" option... And I can't find any solution on the forum.
Thank you for getting back to me.

Hello everyone, here is a simple and effective method, the origin of the problem is that the peripheral is disabled at the BIOS level
---> perform a system restart after restarting press the F10 key and enter the BIOS interface press the F9 key
and then F10 and that's it. The machine restarts with the famous blue Wi-Fi indicator.

A Big Thank You, thanks to your trick [F10] + [F9] in the setup+[F10], I have finally rediscovered the joy of wireless integrated into my setup (HP DV7 1299EF).
