Hello,
I have a problem with my Siemens Gigaset C1 phone. When I want to make a call, I have to use the speakerphone button
because the green handset button doesn't work; there's no dial tone. Also, when someone calls me, I answer with the speakerphone button.
I hope you understand me, thank you.
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 3.0.3

    Hi

If it's recent, there might be a bug due to a mishandling. Otherwise, it could be that the key is worn out (carbon coating on the underside of the key).

Try a reset... remove the batteries... leave it like that for a few minutes, then reinstall the batteries... it might start working again (if it's not due to wear).

Hello, I have a Siemens Gigaset A240 phone that had an equivalent problem. The green line key doesn’t work. Or you had to press it with such force and 10 times before being able to take the line.
I solved the issue by gluing a small brass washer on the area of the line key. To open the phone, you need to use small flat electronics screwdrivers. Here’s a video that explains how to open it.
The weak point to start opening is located at the top of the phone just below the corner. You need to start there to open the phone.

Then you glue a brass washer that you have sanded with ultra-fine P1200 paper, if you can find it, to ensure good electrical contact because it's the surface of the washer that will guarantee good contact. Additionally, the washer is ideal as the hole in the middle allows the LED light to pass through.

The size of the washer I used is Ø ext 7.8 - Ø int 3 and especially a very thin thickness of 0.3 mm.

Don't ask me where I found this washer, I have no idea. I usually take apart electronic devices that I found in the street before and collect washers and screws, and other components like springs.
