Hello,
I learned to type on a keyboard a very long time ago. At that time, both on typewriter keyboards and computer keyboards, pressing the SHIFT key automatically disabled the SHIFT LOCK.
On both of my keyboards, this is no longer the case, and I always end up wasting a lot of time.
Is there a method, on Vista and XP, to disable the shift lock?
Thank you in advance

Hi,
as you just said so well, you just need to press the "shift lock" key to lock the uppercase letters... and press it again to deactivate them. Have a nice day.

Thank you! But what I'm looking for is a method to disable shift lock by simply pressing the shift key.
Okay, if I understood correctly, you have a shift key on your keyboard but not a shift lock?? What you're trying to do seems impossible to me, unless you keep your finger on it.
and I found it in case someone has the same problem
Go to Control Panel:
- Under "Clock, Language, and Region": click on "Change keyboards or other input methods";
- under the "Keyboards and Languages" tab, click on "Change keyboards"
- under the "Advanced Key Settings" tab, click on "Press the SHIFT key"
And there you go
