Hello everyone,
I had XP SP2 and everything was working fine. Recently I installed XP SP3 and I noticed that the Arabic language is missing. I inserted the Windows XP installation CD, but the system refused to install languages that are written from right to left, displaying an error message "missing file ftp042...dll"... I can't find Arabic anywhere!
I'm having trouble typing in Arabic.
Is there no solution? Maybe there's a way to manually add a language?
Thank you in advance

Hello foffafifou,
you need to go to the control panel - regional and linguistic options - then in the "language" tab you click on the "details" button and you add the Arabic language.

Yes, but the problem is that we can't find Arabic in the list to add it... Moreover, it asks for the XP CD to install... but it gets stuck because it can't find certain files to complete the installation.
It doesn't work because it gets blocked before finishing the installation because certain files can't be found on the XP CD... Is there a way to do it without the XP CD, please?

Alright bro, here’s what you’re supposed to do: in the Control Panel, click on Regional Options, then Date, Time, and Language, and then on Regional and Linguistic Options. A window will pop up, then select Language at the top of the window. Next, check the two small boxes to install the files for complex script languages and the files for extreme eastern languages, and there you go, it’s that simple!! Files will be copied from the XP CD that you must have and that should be inserted into your CD/DVD drive.
