Transparency in the header and footer

Hello,

I’ve added a header and footer in Word (it’s a logo and an address). When I double-click on it, the image appears as it originally does. But when I go back to the page to enter my text, the logo and the footer address have a very dull color (as if they are slightly transparent). Is this normal and is there a way to avoid this?
