The identity of your caller has already been found; you mentioned the WEB, which is not possible. However, if it is a telephone operator, file a complaint with them along with a regulatory requisition from a prosecutor, and it's done... 99% of the time, the identity of the caller is stored in the system, okay!
Hello, I am a victim of SMS and MMS being sent via the internet to my friend's phone. I filed a complaint for defamation and invasion of privacy. Because photos were also sent to my friend. However, in a fit of anger, my friend deleted everything. I know the dates of the SMS sent as well as the sender's numbers, which are numbers assigned by the internet, namely: 7240 and 6680. How can I find out the identity of the sender corresponding to these numbers? Can the phone provider know who sends SMS or MMS to a phone and what volume?
Surely there must be a little genius in IT capable of solving this mystery???
Thanks to everyone who will help me advance in this search.

Hi calimeromj, I read your message, and I wanted to say that there are very few ways to know who the real author of the messages is. Moreover, these numbers are indeed numbers that you can find on the internet, which are either free or paid, but anonymous in one way or another; these numbers are designed not to provide information. But for you to have filed a complaint for defamation and invasion of privacy is a good thing. I'm sorry for not being able to help you more... hoping it gets resolved quickly. Take care.
it's simple: it's impossible (well, almost) you would need to know the exact time the text was sent......... or, like, going through the site's logs... or it's doable... but you need good arguments... because it involves a lot of issues for the site (searching the logs, then contacting the guy's provider, breathing down their neck, etc etc etc...)
Yeah, but if the anonymous texts are insulting or threatening, they'll react quickly in the face of a threat from the CNIL; if they can't find the culprit, it's them who are liable… And there's no need for the time, it's enough to look at the phone number, and I suppose it’s not necessarily in the site’s log since they must go through something phone-related at some point or another, and maybe there's a log for that which is less of a hassle...
