Photos issues d'un Sony A300 décalées

Solved

Hello,
I bought a SONY A 300 digital reflex camera in May 08. Recently, when I take a photo, it's misaligned compared to the one I took. I can't figure out how to adjust my camera and I believe it must be a setting that needs to be changed, but I can't find it.
It's quite annoying because I end up with unframed photos, and it bothers me.

I hope you can help me because I'm going on a raid to Marrakech in a week, and it would be a pity
to miss beautiful sunsets;

thank you
Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 7.0

    Hello everyone
I had the same problem after dropping the device on the floor (sensor shifted down) during a shot of a character; I had to aim (basically) at eye level to capture the feet. So I took the risk of dropping it from a height of about 30 to 40 cm onto a table protected by a rubber mat, with the top of the device facing down, to realign the sensor upward, and, miracle, everything came back into line, perfectly centered photos.

I did the test too!!! AND IT REALLY WORKS!!!! :) However, I did the test on my living room carpet because I was afraid of breaking it, but surprisingly, the framing adjusted perfectly!! So there's no need for a big impact to get it back in place!! Thanks for the tip!

Hello, it worked for me too! Incredible... I tried it both ways, several times facing the right way: it didn't work, so the device probably fell in that direction. Then I tried it upside down and there, miraculously: the sensor re-centers on the first try! Well done AK2358...

    hello everyone,
Well, I wasn't very optimistic about the idea of making it fall, but you know what? It's back on track!!! Incredible but true lol.

At first, it went down too much, so I tapped a bit in the other direction and now it's perfect.

But when I tell you the little force it takes to move it, it's concerning to me.

In the end, how is this sensor secured?
It would be interesting to see if it's possible to improve this system.

    Anyway, thanks.

    Hello,

solved by the repairman, cost of the operation €209, it was a misalignment of the stabilizer sensor. He asked me to turn it on and off horizontally to avoid straining the springs.
    See you!

    Hello

Off-center!? What do you mean by off-center???
You mean that if you aim at a pole by placing it in the middle of the viewfinder, in the final photo (on the display on the screen or in the print), it won't be in the middle anymore but to the side!?!?
Is it the same on the camera's screen or is it just on the PC screen?

    Hey!

Leloup, I reacted exactly like you!
But faced with the problem and the number of opinions pointing this way for Sony... I didn't really know what to do, so I thought I'd give it a shot (before paying 280 euros for repair)...
I didn't drop it (my DSLR has NEVER fallen)! I observed the misalignment, which was upward, and I lightly tapped with the palm of my hand on the top of the camera, twice, very lightly... And MIRACLE! Everything works perfectly again!

So, honestly... give it a try! Thanks everyone!

A report back for the statistics... same problem, same fix with a few (moderate!) knocks on the device! Relieved, that was very troublesome! Thanks for the tip!

Indeed, the trick works and it saved my party photos, thank you.
That said, it is still worrying for a device of this value.

    Hello.

I laughed when I saw the proposed solution.
It's been 2 years since I last used my A300.
A few taps because I'm afraid to drop it and it works.

    Thank you for the solution.

I'm amazed and I've saved time and money.
I can enjoy my photo app again.

Thank you AK2358, and for the skeptics, stay in your world.

    Hello,
I’m bringing this post back up because I have the same problem and can't find a solution.
My photos are shifted downwards; to explain, if I frame a person from head to toe in the viewfinder or on the camera screen, once the photo is taken, there’s space above their head and at the bottom, the photo stops at the tibia!
Does anyone have a solution for this alignment issue?
    Thank you in advance.

Lolo hi, I have the same problem, did you get a response and especially a solution?

A certain Alexandre replied to me that he had a repair quote done costing €284, he sold his device on eBay for €165????

Well, the same problem: If a character is taken at full height (the head touching the top edge and the feet the bottom edge) = what I see in the viewfinder. When I look right after in the viewfinder, I notice that the head no longer touches the top edge but there is space above (not a black band but the background above the character). The feet no longer appear!!!

Incredible, I had a left misalignment on an A330, a good smack to the left and boom, perfect alignment, it's great!!!!! To think some people paid 200 euros to have that fixed... ouch.

I confirm that after experiencing the same problem as everyone else, my device had shifted upward. I tapped it 3 or 4 times at the top, and now it works again with a perfect frame for the screen.

    Hopefully this can help!!!!

    Best regards

    Good evening everyone,
I just landed on this forum because I have exactly the same issue with an A350... so this problem would only affect Sony cameras?

    Hello everyone
after my Minolta 5D broke down (sensor defective?), I bought a second-hand A300 to “make the most of” the accessories, and bam....upon returning the
body drops from 30cm with its case!--> image shifted downwards!!!!!!!!
I stumbled upon this blog: great...it works but you mustn't mistake the side and especially don’t hit hard: just a little tap and try again until the image is centered correctly!
Moreover, wanting to try my old Minolta 3600HS flash (that's its name, but it’s not defective!) it doesn’t work correctly on this body: so I replaced the 18-70 Sony with the Minolta, and everything is fine!! kudos to compatibility!
    if this can help someone...
    happy shooting to all

That's great, it works! Thank you, I saved €280 on the repair just by dropping my device from a few centimeters high.
    I'm really happy.
    THANK YOU!
