Hello, I am a beginner and I received a Canon 2000D this Christmas. When I try to take a picture with the LCD screen, it doesn't work. An exp.sim button is blinking: I thought it was because I was in low light, but the same thing happens in good light.
Do you have any idea what is going on?

Hello
I don't know this model, but if Exp.SIM is in white, it means that the final image you will get will look like the image you see on the screen. This is the simulation mode that allows you to see what the final image will look like in live view.
If 'Exp.SIM' is flashing, it's probably because you are photographing in very bright conditions or, conversely, very dark ones. This indicates that the image displayed on the screen will be different from the one captured. I didn't know it could block, except at the extremes, of course.
The solution may be to disable the mode in question or to check your manual for options that allow you to have the simulation mode without blocking.
This kind of device really requires spending a minimum of time with the manual to understand the basics.
Best regards

Thank you, I don't think the issue comes from this warning light but rather from the autofocus that won't work when I use the LCD screen. In manual mode, the photo is taken without any problem.
Hello,
there is a difference between "the screen is not working" and "the photo is not displaying or is displaying poorly"
In the first case, return to the seller.
In the second case, it is clear that reading the manual could help.
Set it to "P" mode and "auto ISO"
or to "green" mode (fully automatic)
