Logitech HP 2.1X-240 crackling issue

Hello,

I have Logitech 2.1 X-240 speakers. At first, everything was fine. Shortly after, and I don’t know why, I hear very significant crackling that increases with the volume; it's a sort of constant vibration. I initially thought it might be interference from another device (Bluetooth, mobile phone, Wi-Fi...), but it's not that at all. This noise is very annoying, especially when working on the PC in silence, as we have this constant hum in the background, and we're quickly forced to mute the speakers.

As for the sound, it’s not great either, there is constant crackling. Only the sound camouflages this crackling, but it has to be loud enough and "rock 'n roll"... It doesn’t work with classical music, for example...

I've tried everything: changing location, checking connections, adjusting speaker settings in "sound and devices",...

In your opinion, what is the problem? What should I do? Is there still something that can be done, or are my speakers simply of poor quality? :s

Thank you very much for your help.

I have the same speakers and the same issue... you need to plug your speakers in by themselves.... (don't plug it into an extension cord)
I tried it and it works.

Thank you for your response.

They are not plugged into an electrical cable, but connected to the "amp" (I'm not sure of the term)... I have already tried to connect them directly to my PC, with no intermediary... Might as well use the built-in speakers on my laptop... The sound isn’t much better. But indeed, there is no more buzzing. It must be the "amp" input that is causing the problem...???

I really don’t understand why the buzzing appeared all of a sudden. It’s quite frustrating! When I wanted nice sound... here I am with the opposite!

Thank you anyway!

Hi, I followed your case and Veronel's response. Did you finally find the solution? I have the same equipment, the same setup, and the same very annoying buzzing.

Hello!

I solved the problem. Well, sort of. The buzzing disappears when I unplug my laptop. It must be the electric field...

At my place, it comes from the power supply. When I turn the transformer to a specific position (it's hard to find), there is no more buzzing.

Hello,

I had exactly the same problem overnight. After reading this post, I remembered that in the meantime I simply changed my internet modem (from DLink to an Orange box). Indeed, if I brought my hands close to the Orange modem, the crackling would stop (capacitive effect of the modem with my subwoofer 5 cm away, I don't know). For my part, I just moved my modem 15 cm further away from the subwoofer and the problem was solved.

Hoping this helps.
