Hello,

I need to connect my new house to the telephone line.
The telephone line is currently arriving at the edge of the property.
Does anyone know the steps to take with France Telecom for the connection of my house as well as the approximate costs?
Thank you in advance
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

Hello,

as an employee at Orange, here is the procedure to follow regarding the connection of a new house.

When you create a building permit, you will automatically receive a letter informing you of the steps to take; if not, here it is:

https://boutique.orange.fr/bon-plan-promo/

you need to call 1014 regardless of the operator (or 1016 for professionals).

Explain your situation to the operator.

A purchase order of about a hundred euros will be sent to you,

Once the purchase order is accepted, someone will make an appointment with you to advise and assess the work needed to connect your house.

Note that the area on the property is the client's responsibility: crossing the roadway, connection on the sidewalk, pole installation, etc.
The rest is the responsibility of Orange, so do not be surprised to receive a quote.

If the quote is accepted, the purchase order will not be charged.
If the quote is refused, the purchase order will be charged.

If you refuse the purchase order, your request will be canceled and your house will not be connected to the telephone network.

Upon receipt of the accepted quote, you should expect an approximate delay of 3 months for the connection; this is the time required to obtain all the necessary permissions to create the network and thus connect you.

In some cases, you will need to call 1014 to inform that your house is connected to the network and thus trigger the intervention of a technician to run the cable to your home.

For your information, Orange holds the universal service and is consequently the network manager (creation, maintenance); this is why only Orange can make the connection to the telephone network, as other operators only "lease" the traditional copper network, except in a few exceptional cases in certain regions.

We moved into a restored building nearly a year ago, and I still don't have a landline. They have come out several times, the network is overloaded, and that's not my problem. I'm not going to pay to redo the network for the whole village! Where do we go from here? I still haven't received any quotes, the technicians are supposedly coming out but I have no news. I feel like I'm going to bring in the media to get things moving; I'm fed up!!!
