Screen sharing between Mac and PC over the internet

Hello,
I would like to know if you can help me set up screen and file sharing between Mac and PC over the internet.
In another forum, two people were talking about this, one said:

I have a Mac and a PC,

I access my PC from my Mac in two ways.

When I'm at home, on Wi-Fi, I press Command+K in Finder and I give the IP address of my PC like smb:/192.168.0.1, I've of course shared the hard drive and configured the router (in this case, Freebox)

When I'm elsewhere, I access it via FTP (with Cyberduck). So I installed FileZilla on my PC, and that's it.

In all cases, I use Chicken of the VNC to control the PC remotely (it has nothing connected, neither mouse nor keyboard nor screen)

I am currently looking into how to stream videos from my PC to my Mac when I'm not at home with VLC Streamer, I'm almost done with the setup.

I’m even considering leaving it running at my dad's place instead of mine, because it makes noise and takes up space in my studio.

For your information

Of course, I left a message to the guy to see if he has a little tutorial or if he can help me but he hasn't replied.

I hope you can explain to me how he did it.
Thank you.

Sincerely.
Configuration: Mac OS X Safari 525.20.1

Hello,
I would simply like to control my PC which is running Vista from my Mac (the PC has no screen, mouse, or anything). I would also like to be able to transfer data between the two via FTP (I have installed FileZilla on the PC and I have Cyberduck on the Mac, but I don't know how to use them). I would like to do this somewhat like the guy; I don't have a huge room, so if I can leave the CPU in another room or another house, that would be great. Thank you.

Best regards.
