Licence Catia V5R18

Hello,
I am a novice.
I just installed Catia V5R18 without any problem, except that when I open it, it says "No configuration or product license has been requested. Click OK and select at least one configuration license using the license manager."
I click OK and it shows me the product manager with a list of available configurations or products, and I don't know what to do with this.

I think we don't have the same files.. I'm still struggling because of those licenses.
I'm being told that I need to place the JSOGROUP..... file in the right location, but I still haven't found it.

I have the same issue as you... have you found a solution? Because even using tools like the di ydelineau, it's grayed out so it doesn't work... weird??? Keep me updated please, you have my @..

Hi,

I saw your message and it seems from my research that this might be due to the Vista operating system... if you're on Vista, that could be the problem because I have exactly the same issue, but I've left it on hold due to various problems... so which OS are you on?

V5R19 is fully compatible with Windows Vista.

Isn't it obvious that you probably need to purchase the license ????

The problem is that I'm on XP! I previously tried to install it on my laptop, which runs Vista, but I couldn't even start the installation!
In my case, Catia was successfully installed on XP, but when I open the software, an error message appears: "no configuration or product license has been requested." I click OK and I can't do anything at all! The server list is grayed out.

I hope I've explained the issue clearly.

Hello baladur13,

Yes, I did think about it, but unlike you, I am neither a professional nor part of a company; I am a second-year student (DUT GMP) and we don't have the opportunity to use CATIA; we work on Solidworks.
What is currently causing me a problem is that I have an end-of-studies internship starting in April, and the company that is recruiting me wants an intern with a basic knowledge of CATIA.
So you can understand, baladur13, that I'm not going to buy a license that costs between 1000 and 1500 euros just to learn the basics of the software.
