Hello,
I just installed version v5r19 of Catia and by mistake I lost my specification tree (or construction tree).
Although I go to the View tab and click on Specification Tree or press F3, the hierarchy of my part or assembly does not show up. This happens both when creating a part and when opening an existing one.
To address this issue, I uninstalled the software several times from my PC and nothing worked.
I uninstalled Catia v5 R19 and deleted all its files in the program data and their registry files with the regedit option, and I removed all traces of it. I also used CCleaner to clean everything and installed Catia Version 5 R21 but the same problem persists :'(
If you know a little trick that could help me get that famous hierarchy back, it would really help me.
Thank you for your understanding and for your future collaboration with me.
See you later
and thank you in advance.

Hello, for the tree's disappearance, it must have vanished somewhere because the zoom has moved away; there's a small white drawing at the bottom right of your screen, like a marker. You need to click on it. You'll then have access to the tree's position: zoom in and out using the mouse wheel while holding it down and clicking once with the right mouse button. Move your mouse forward or backward (like zooming in and out of a room), and your tree should come back. To return to your room, click again on the small white drawing. I hope it works :)
Hello everyone,
there is a simple solution:
Open a Catia project, right-click, then click on "Crop the graph"
if there is still the same issue,
- go to Tools --> Options --> "restore default parameter values" --> for all tabs --> Ok.
- Close Catia --> Open a Catia project --> right-click, then click on "Crop the graph"

The path to the CATIA executable is "D:\Program Files\Dassault Systemes\B19\intel_a\code\bin\CATSTART.exe" and I am looking for the "Catenv" folder but I didn't find it. Last time, I deleted all their source files but there is one file I forgot; I don't know its name, which saves all the CATIA settings. Do you know its name so that I can delete it?
The Catsettings are not in this .txt file; they are files in the CATEnv folder.
However, it’s strange about P3; does it correspond to your interface type or to service pack 3?
But at worst, the interface (P3, P2 by default, and P1) is also saved in the catsettings, so by deleting them… unless it’s directly configured in the shortcut (or in the .txt file) to launch in P3 interface (you can recognize this interface because there are no file menus, etc., at the top) and I don’t actually know what the purpose of this interface is.

I just realized that I was a bit off the mark but not entirely :) So you can partly forget my last message.
Actually, open this file "CATIA_P3.V5R19.B19.txt", inside do a search (ctrl+F) (you can read the file but it's longer) and look for "USER_HOME"
and normally you should find a line that starts with USER_HOME= ... and what follows should be the path to the CATSettings folder where the files you need to delete are located.
It ends with CATSettings\DSKEY_USERID where DSKEY_USERID corresponds to the user.
So basically with that you should be able to find the right folder.
