Close open office

Hello,
Sometimes, I can't close Open Office.
I have to force the shutdown of the computer itself, which annoys me. When I reopen it, I get file recovery...
Who can help me?

Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 3.0.1

Actually, OpenOffice crashes on a file and I can't do anything with it. It's as if the mouse is useless... Impossible to close it even by pressing ctrl+q
It often happens when I've been too quick to open or close files. At least, I think so.
And as a result, it's impossible to shut down the computer without forcing it to close.
    It's Writer 2.4
But I don't know what the module is... I can't figure it out either...

As Dubcek points out, we should be a bit more verbose in describing the problem. Computer science is not a divinatory science. Specifying the version of OpenOffice.org and the module used would be a good start.

Windows XP, is it low on resources???
    You mean low on memory?
    I checked the link.
I have never installed the dictionary...
As for Java, I don't know what that is.
