Hello,
I've recently started playing TM Nation Forever (the free version).
I have two questions to ask you. First of all, when I want to paint my car, it tells me it's impossible and that it's read-only. What should I do? Is this normal? Will I still be able to paint my car?
My second problem isn't very serious; I would like to have a custom horn, but how do I do that?

    Hi,

    To create a horn in TrackMania, you need to download this:

    Free Mp3 Wav Converter:

    Step 1 (Create a horn):

    Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Sound Recorder
    Then record your sound in "My Documents"

    P.S: If you already have a sound, you can skip this step.

    Step 2 (Convert your horn):

    Install Free Mp3 Wav Converter.
    Open it.
    In Format, select Wav and in Settings, click on the "..." box
    Set 22050 Hz in Mono and leave the other setting as is.
    Now that you have adjusted the sound, you just need to convert it.
    To do this, click on the icon to the right of the black cross.
    Double-click on your sound and then click convert at the bottom.
    Exit.

    Step 3 (Horn location):

    Now that your file is converted
    Copy it to:
    My Documents > TrackMania > Skins > Horns
    Launch TrackMania.
    Go to Profile, click on the horn icon and open your custom horn.

    That's it. See you later.

    It's normal, you just do "save as," then give a name to your car and you're good to go ;)

    Hey guys, you just need to click save as as soon as you finish your painting (the floppy disk with an orange arrow) and give it a name that doesn't already exist in the list and save it, ta da daaaa!

    For your information, after doing this, you need to go to Documents/Tm forever/Skins/Horns. Do this when the game is closed. And when you reopen it, go and choose your horn from the list of others. You're welcome ;)

    Well, for your painting, I think that if you dig through your directory, you will find the vehicles. In that case, right-click, go to properties, and uncheck read-only :)

    I don't know about your painting, but I know that for the horns there are plenty in your profile next to the little slap; you click on it and there are plenty of other sounds. But I'm still struggling to find horns to download on the net. Good luck anyway!!
