I am on Vista, indeed you need to press the two small buttons, one on the USB key (receiver) and the other underneath the mouse, then restart the computer and it works perfectly
BABAR,
BABAR,
I have a Freewave mouse Model: DS-2301
There is no small button on the USB receiver-transmitter. Under the mouse, there is a power button and a DPI button.
My mouse does not work with either Windows 7 or XP! On the Freewave website, there is nothing but ads for their products but no help!

Hi Anonymous,
What type of mouse do you have? Mine is a DS-2301 model. That is to say, it is a wireless mouse. The included retractable USB cable is used to charge the two batteries included and not to operate the mouse.
I’m trying to get information by contacting Freewave at the address info@freewave.fr

Hello, like you, my Freewave mouse does not work with Vista.
I can't install it. I haven't found any drivers on the internet.
The computer doesn't even recognize it and of course there's no Freewave site.
Does anyone have a solution? Thanks.

I followed your advice:
- pressing the buttons (receiver and mouse)
- restarting
It doesn't work. The mouse detects the presses and movements well. The lights on the receiver and the mouse are on (they're not flashing).
I'm on Vista, but you probably guessed that !!!!

Here is Freewave's response:
Dear Sir,
It is preferable to return the mouse.
Thank you
And Happy New Year

Yes, my mouse batteries have been charged; I even tried with AAA LR03 1.5V batteries. Nothing works. Moreover, if my mouse were not charged, as you say, I think the LED located under the wheel would not blink for a few seconds (5 seconds on the clock). From what I can see, I am not the only one complaining about the non-functioning of my mouse (see: https://forums.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-8229633-souris-freewave#2009-12-27%2013%3A02%3A55). Should I return it to my vendor? Or is there a solution?
Thank you for your prompt reply.

The end of the matter.
I returned my mouse to my retailer along with the email from Freewave, who took it back without difficulty, and I replaced it with a Logitech mouse, less smart, but it worked the first time.
For anyone having issues with their Freewave mouse, I recommend doing the same—not necessarily opting for a Logitech, but perhaps another brand that works.
Hi everyone and good luck.

With Windows 7 it works very well, the mouse installed itself, so I don't know why it's not working. I just plugged in the USB key and it works, so that's it.
For the mouse model DS 22-28, you need to simultaneously press with a pen on the button underneath the mouse and on the small button of the connector.
Hello, I have a Freewave DS-2128 wireless mouse that works perfectly but only when the cable connecting the mouse to a power source is plugged in.
This means that when the mouse is on its own, that is, not connected to any equipment, it doesn't respond, and the red light doesn't come on.
I want to mention that I don’t have the cable that came with it, but I have a similar one, basically the standard cable that charges your PS3 and your controller.
And I think my mouse is not charging, that’s the problem.

- first take out the USB receiver by pressing on the back of the mouse,
- plug this USB key into the computer,
- then press with a pencil tip on the tiny button on the top of the USB key: it starts to blink slowly
- immediately press with a pencil tip on the tiny button located underneath the mouse: the USB key starts to blink rapidly, indicating it has recognized the mouse
- click with the mouse: ...the mouse works.
