If you're talking about the LAN port of the PCX, you connect using an Ethernet connection from your PC RJ45/RJ45 or through your network if the PCX is on your server; in this case, the PCX's IP address is 192.168.92.246, a factory default address that can be replaced while respecting conflicts if on a corporate server. If this address has been changed, then there’s a big problem, like any lost or unknown passwords. This IP address regarding the PCX can be read if you also know the password?
The config port is actually an RJ45 connection on DB9; it works like a modem since it's used for both incoming and local remote connections using COM1, requiring no IP addresses for the connection. It’s somewhat of a backdoor.
It would undoubtedly be simpler for you to ask the operator responsible for your system for the password, although generally, each operator has their own password to prevent unauthorized connections and typically doesn't like to share it! In any case, the LAN or config password is the same. Don't confuse it with the factory operator code /help1954 unless that has also been changed?
If you are the on-site administrator in your company, I think the technician can provide it to you. For my part, most of the time when I install an OXO PCX in a 'network', I install the OMC software on a company PC and give a short training session to the system manager. This has several advantages
1°/ To change a name, for example, DURAND to DUPONT, there's no need for a site visit; the client does it themselves
2°/ If there's a small programming issue like a discrepancy or something else, you can troubleshoot over the phone without needing to go out, etc.
Of course, it's essential to inform the client about the errors to avoid in programming; this is also a matter of trust, and for me, everything has gone well so far.
You can ask for the 'easy' software to be installed, which gives you access to a certain level of programming but not the rest/ For my part, I don't like it. That’s just a personal opinion, of course!

As for connecting via STD, it's not great for making certain modifications, unless you're well-versed in the DHM station and its menus. This isn’t always easy.

I have a quick question about the programming software for the Alcatel Lucent Omnipcx

There are three versions (that's what I found available for download on the internet) of the PM5 software for programming this equipment, but how can I know which version to install for our hardware?
Is there a little tutorial for basic programming (I'm not an expert) just to change the day-night mode schedules and tweak a few small things?

Personally, I can't use this phone because, as mentioned earlier, I don't have a business server since I am an individual. I use another phone without a server for my IP phone needs.
I am willing to sell my LinkSys SPA 921 phone with its power supply. Even though I have two of them since they are not sold individually. I can offer the whole lot for €150, which is a bargain given the store price, and everything is new.
Otherwise, if needed, I work with a Spanish company that manages IP phones very well at unbeatable prices for both businesses and individuals.

I just recovered the one from the neighboring office, a Broker is willing to buy it from me but I have been instructed to erase all the data of the said company who did not know that this was possible before disassembling it.

Is there a reset I can reach, even inside the casing?
