PS3 turns on but the TV screen is black

Hello,
This morning, I turned on my PS3 but the screen displays nothing. I checked the connections and they are fine.
It’s not the HDMI cable, it’s not the TV’s fault.
Thank you for your future responses.
Configuration: Windows Vista Firefox 3.0.1

I think it must be the HD configuration, try to hold down the power button (for about 10 seconds) when you turn it on until it beeps and the graphic settings are set to the lowest. :-)

So thanks, I did that and it's all good, cool

turn off your console
then turn it back on by pressing the PS button on the console for 6-7 seconds
until the beep

it resets the display settings.

I have the same problem. Quick question: Did you turn off your PS3 directly with the button at the back?

Hi

Did you plug your PS3 in via HDMI recently
or did you lend it to someone who had an HDMI TV

The power of the console has nothing to do with the TV... Just because the console is supposedly powerful doesn't mean it will damage the TV!!

What we don't hear, lol.

Yes, my TV turns on normally, I can watch TV, etc...
For a bug in the game, I don't think it's the graphics card, I don't know either, and it's no longer under warranty, what should I do?

That's nonsense, the signal sent by the PS3 is the same as that of the PS2 or 1, or an Xbox; there are resistors and fuses that regulate the voltage. Your TV is dead, fine, but it's not because of the console. I played for 2 or 3 years with a PS2 on a TV that was 25 years old, and it had no issues...

The power of a console cannot destroy a TV; it's the same for new PCs; you can have a PC with a dual SLI of GX2 on a screen that is 10 years old, it won't harm it at all.

Hi Jeremy 500, check the PS3's Scart cable, it might be defective.

ok so your PS3 is still set to HDMI
it's normal that your SCART doesn't recognize it

turn off your console
then turn it back on by pressing the PS button on the console for 6-7 seconds
until you hear the beep

this resets the display settings

I tried with a PS2 SCART cable (apparently they are the same) and it still doesn't work.

Is your PS3 no longer under warranty? When did you buy it?

No, it is no longer under warranty; I bought it in July 2007.

Are you at least on the right channel to play it? Otherwise, it might be your TV that's dead because it happened to me once too, since your console is too powerful, it can damage your TV after a while.

Yes, I’m on the right channel and no, my TV is working since I can watch TV on it.

It would be important to know what this console is placed on or if this house is grounded

There is a lot of equipment like this that gets fried because it picks up a bit of static electricity.
