Hello,
I just acquired a Packard Bell iMedia 9651 with Vista. I'm trying to install previously purchased software that is compatible with XP.
Among other things, version Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0.
I am being notified:
the installed sound card driver does not support Direct Sound input. Unable to record an audio sequence.
Thank you for informing me about the steps to follow.
Configuration: Windows Vista Firefox 3.0.1

For your problem, you need to go to the control panel / audio hardware / sound

Then go to the playback tab and disable realtek digital audio output.
Then in the recording tab, right-click,
enable disabled devices. Enable stereo mix. Go back to the playback tab and enable realtek digital audio output. That's how I solved my problem.

I installed a game on my computer, and it talks to me about the same problem as you and I have Realtek Digital Audio except that I can't find a way to disable it, even by following your advice Stéphane I don't have the same options as you. If someone could help me that would be cool because I want to play the game. Thank you in advance.

Hello, I have the same problem. I follow the same path: control panel/audio/hardware and sound/recording, but in recording it shows: "no audio device is installed". What should I do?
