phone ringing in the void

Question

Hello,
For a week now, I haven't been reachable on my landline: my caller hears the ringing but I don't hear it ringing at my place ... I no longer have internet either...
I'm with France Telecom and Tele2 with partial unbundling.

When I call Tele2, they tell me to check with France Telecom.
When I call France Telecom, they test my line (for them, it works, since it rings) and they tell me that if I want a technician to come and check the problem at my place, it's €55!

I've tried with another phone.
I've tested on all 3 telephone sockets in my apartment.
My neighbors' line works.

Do you have any idea?

if I call myself with a mobile it rings into the void
If I call myself from my landline on my landline, it doesn't work

I've been on partial unbundling for over a year... so, it's strange
I wonder if there's any work going on in the area??

Did you just get unbundled?? In that case, there may have been a line mix-up, meaning you have another person's line and someone else is receiving your calls... Try calling yourself to see if that's the case and if someone answers in your place. If that's the case, contact France Telecom and they will sort it out for you within the day, it's nothing!

I'm not sure that everything they told you helped, but it's quite a strange problem because I myself suffer from the same issue, and the strangest thing is that when I use my landline it works, but when I use my Gigaset "mobile cordless phone with a base" it always rings busy, and when I disconnect everything and call from a mobile or another landline, it rings in silence. This could suggest to you that your line has a disconnection somewhere, thus cutting off without being short-circuited. That's why you hear it ringing into silence as you are in the same loop, but outside of that, you might not hear anything.
