Hello everyone!!!
As part of my final thesis, I conducted interviews using a dictaphone. I recorded them on my PC in .zvr format using the voice tracer software, and deleted them from the dictaphone's memory. I can no longer read the files.
I have already tried to open them with several programs: Windows Media Center tells me that "the player might not support the file type or the codec used for compression," it doesn't work with the voice tracer software either, nor with VLC Media Player.
I feel like the files are no longer recognized by my computer.
I'm really not good with computers, and I'm starting to get desperate... Can you please help me?
Thank you in advance everyone!

Honestly, nothing simpler:

download the software

download the software
In the software provided with the Digital Voice Tracer (Download manager), you can convert zvr and wav formats, which are readable by almost anything. Here's what the documentation says:
Convert the selected recorded file to WAVE format
(.zvr > .wav)
Refresh and display the contents
Convert the selected WAVE file to recorded format
(.wav > .zvr) (only for DVT 7655/7675).
dd

Hi Sof, we have the same problem. The thing is, we deleted the original files from the dictaphone before converting them to ZVR format, which is the source of the issue. So next time, when you download your files, don't delete them before converting them using the designated button.
As for the files you need, I'm in the same mess as you, and I don't know what to do. How can we recover what we've recorded???
Has anyone replied to you????

better late than never... ZVR files are read by the software "zvr player" provided with the "voice tracer" software for Philips recording devices.
In this "voice tracer" software, conversion to .wav is possible, making it easy to find a .wav to .mp3 converter.
For example:
Waver at https://www.clubic.com/telecharger-fiche9876-waver.html
(I will try this one because I haven't found a converter (ZVR=>mp3))
or
