Hello,
I have a Zicplay webcam as follows: http://www.wikio.fr/produit/zicplay-23981.html
I had it installed on my old PC but I lost the CD.
Is it really possible to make this ... webcam work?!!! I've been looking for two hours lol
Thanks in advance!
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 2.0.0.15

Yes, I know, I downloaded everything! I installed everything, and when I launch it, it tells me: sorry you have no video capture hardware. Even though I have my webcam connected. I think the automatic installation program for the webcam is the problem... when the device starts up on its own and installs itself before use...

      How did you install it???
During the installation, the camera must be unplugged...
So if that wasn't the case... uninstall everything related to this camera and reinstall it with the camera unplugged...
The procedure usually requires the connection.

I tried again and the webcam is still not installed. In fact, I think we are installing the webcam software. What we need are the drivers to install the webcam device.

You downloaded and installed: "Talkcam Messenger Pro drivers for Windows XP"
But your camera is: "TalkCam LiveShow"
So not sure if it will be compatible....
      A few questions though...
Did you install it with the camera unplugged...??
Did you uninstall everything before starting the installation???
If you plug in your camera and go to the device manager, do you see any yellow ? or ! ???
      If yes, say what for.
Do you have a program in "All Programs" or even an icon on your desktop related to your camera???
Finally, if you open Live Messenger and go to "Tools" and "Audio and Video Setup," do you find your camera there???

You need to activate the Webcam also in the drop-down menu at the top of the software (in MSN, this applies too) because your PC might be configured on other video input options (like video acquisition through your Nvidia card, or an old webcam). So: go to the "Devices" menu and select your webcam from the list! - for example, I have 3 choices... and the new webcam was not selected - same in MSN, I specify :)
And then, it's all good ^^
