Color spots on my screen!

Question

Hello,
For some time now I have been seeing red spots on my screen (only where the image is black). I've tried all the cleaning methods I know (Avast, Ad-Aware) but I can't get rid of them.
Please help me! :'(

your problem is either the screen starting to show signs of weakness or your graphics card Do you have old equipment? recent?

It's your screen that's showing signs of weakness; it's hardware-related, so no software can fix that.  --  Apparently, there are 4 women for every man! Who's the one that stole my share? :/

Maybe you should consider giving your computer to a specialist! Do you have an antivirus?

For my screen, it's true that it's quite old (4-5 years), otherwise for my graphics card I went to "hardware" to download the latest update. Now I don't know what to do...

If you have another screen on hand, make the switch to see if that's where the issue is coming from.

if your screen is an LCD, go into your screen settings and validate the colors.

Okay, but it's not an LCD screen, so I think I will call a technician or show it to the store where I bought it. Thank you for your advice...

Hello, I have exactly the same problem on my Acer laptop!

On dark colors, for example, red spots or lines appear!

I've had this before, but with the warranty, I was able to get it fixed. The technician told me he simply restored the system, but after a few days the colors came back :( and no matter what restorations I try, the red spots remain!

If anyone has a solution, please help me!

Hi  I'm in the same boat! I had an HP Pavilion dv9000 and I took it to HP; after a diagnostic, I was told it was a motherboard issue and it's unrepairable, indeed I need a new motherboard! :(
