pink has taken over my screen :((((( Solved/Closed

Question

Good evening!

Earlier, I was browsing the internet, I wanted to open WORD to print a page that was too large, so I selected what I wanted to print and copied/pasted it into WORD.

And I don’t know how it happened, but since then, I have a pink tint on my screen!!!!!

There are parts that should be white or light gray, like when you open the control panel, at the top, there are 2 lines with "file", "edit", "view", ... then on the 2nd line "previous", "search", .. and well these 2 lines are now pink!!!!!

I haven’t touched my screen which is a 17-inch flat screen bought new less than a year ago, from FUJITSU SIEMENS.

I can’t seem to get things back to white or light gray like before!

Could someone please help me?

Color images are made up of 3 colors: Red, Green, and Blue (RGB). You just have to put your nose on the screen. A pink screen (more like purple, right?) means there is only Red and Blue. There is no green left. It’s either a connector that isn’t properly plugged in, with the green pin sticking out (on the screen or PC side), or the graphics card is dead. I think this kind of failure is rare for a screen, but I could be wrong.

Aww :((((((  But he is less than 1 year old!!!!!  But it's the white and light gray parts that have turned pink, the rest is normal.  I find that strange :(((

take advantage of the warranty, return the screen to where you brought it, clearly explaining that you didn't understand anything and that it suddenly went from normal to pink for no reason!!!

Hello Avragorn,
Position yourself on the desktop. Right-click on an empty space.
Click again on Properties and click on Display.
Check if the pink color is there. If so, click on what is pink and simply change the color to the one you desire.

Hello!  Well, the pink went away by itself, maybe the screen needed some rest, I don't know, there are so many strange things that I don't know if it's worth trying to understand!!!

I also had a Fujitsu Siemens and a similar problem. At first, I thought it was the graphics card and I replaced it. It worked for a while, but then it came back, right in the middle of a WoW game, while I was killing a troll, bam, the computer crashed, a blue message popped up as if announcing the apocalypse, and suddenly, sniff, sniff, it smelled like smoke...
And no, my dad wasn't starting a fire. I opened the computer and BOOM, a piece fell out.

In fact, I had to change the motherboard. ^^
Now my computer is still just as crappy ^^ but a bit better anyway.

I have the same thing.. -_- my screen has turned pink and I know that this morning, without meaning to, I stepped on the cables so maybe one of the plugs got disconnected but well I don't know which one it is or at least what it looks like? Can someone help me?

For your information. I have the same type of problem: my HP 6735b laptop suddenly started displaying a sort of mauve pink instead of white or gray today. This happened once, it returned to normal after a few minutes without any intervention. It remained okay for 5 minutes, then went pink again. This happens sometimes. Now it's constantly a quite unreadable pinkish white. The three colors do seem to display correctly: red, green, blue, yellow, white, black.

As for your screen that is pink, but not always... it comes from the connection. You need to check the back of your PC to see if the cable (blue) going to the screen is not improperly connected. Otherwise, you can also try changing the multiple socket where the PC is connected. The best option would be to have a surge protector, for around €15.
