Hello,
I recently received a Keenox photo frame with reference: "#DPF905".
I followed the instructions in the manual, that is to say I copied the content onto the hard drive (to be precise, I copied the directory to the desktop).
However, when I click on photoviewer.exe, it tells me that the frame is "not found" (I don't remember exactly what it says).
Considering that my PC runs on Windows 98 Second Edition (the frame should be compatible starting from Windows 98).
I would like to know if I need to download a driver?
Thank you for your response.

Hello Ben
I can't find the manufacturer's website, but who knows, maybe it's in your manual...
Speaking of the manual
copying the content to the hard drive seems very far-fetched to me
A installation CD is for installing drivers and not for copying....
Normally, when you insert the CD, it should start an installation; if not, and if the autorun doesn't work, you should find an install .exe or setup.exe or xxxx.exe on this CD.
Double-clicking on this .exe should start the installation... (NB: the device should not be connected to the PC during installation)

Especially when it's not there...!!!!

After several hours of research, and for those still looking, here is a link to the 'photo viewer' software (Mac & Windows):

http://www.mscustomercare.com/forms/Photo%20Viewer%20With%20Clock%20Software.zip
The software is not very intuitive, but there are tutorial videos that explain everything well, step by step.
Tested on the 'Bruneau' Thomson gift model PI632F
P.S.: there's no need to keep trying to access the reader or format it ;)

Moreover, I did a thorough search of the CD and I didn't find any instal.exe or setup.exe; anyway, I had already thought of that beforehand.
When I install the frame in the list, it displays: unsupported hardware.
And yet I know that it says in the manual that it is compatible with Windows 98 or later versions.
Oh! By the way, the CD is physically smaller than regular discs (12 cm, I believe)
You don’t have a manufacturer's name or an internet @ on the instructions...

The procedure is very simple.
Do NOT install the frame as new hardware!
When you plug it into a USB port, it shows you two choices: "USB Charge" and "USB Update".
To make a choice, you navigate to it using the buttons on the side (up or down arrow).
- USB Charge is the "display" mode: the normal operating mode (slideshow with or without time).
- USB Update is the mode that allows you to communicate with the PC: add, modify, or delete images!
So when you choose the second mode, your PC recognizes the hardware automatically (no drivers needed), and ONLY AT THIS MOMENT can you launch the Photoviewer.exe program.
After sending your photos to it, unplug and then plug the frame back in to switch to "USB Charge" mode, which is the display mode...
Finally, if you wish, I can provide the config file that sets the program to French...
I also have the small DPF-905 frame
When I plug in the USB cable and select USB update, Windows XP recognizes the device as a removable disk.
When I try to open the disk to see its contents, Windows prompts me to format it. If I reply no, it closes the window and if I try to reopen it, Windows offers the formatting option again. If I reply yes, I get a message saying that the formatting failed, and I am unable to view the content or load any photos because I consistently get the formatting message offered when I reconnect the device by validating USB update.
Do I absolutely need to install photoviewer, and if so, can you send me the French version?
Thank you.
Can someone help me???
Thank you in advance
