I have the same problem with my TH-46PZ81E screen. Flashing red LED at startup. I am desperate, no way to get it to work.

For a new or under-warranty plasma, return to the store or contact Panasonic customer service. You shouldn't have to ask questions.
To diagnose the issue, simply download the complete manual for the device online, and troubleshoot based on the blinking patterns...

You need to hold the button down for 5 seconds!

I have a problem with my new TH-46PZ81E screen. It worked for 5 minutes and since then [b]the power LED blinks green for 5 seconds on startup and then turns red[/b] indefinitely. I'm desperate: I can't get it to work. :cry: :cry: :cry:

I received the same model yesterday; it didn't even last 2 hours. Then, when I turned it back on, the red light blinked again. Who knows why it malfunctioned. Solution: customer service!! I hope it won't take too long to repair or replace it. Good luck.

I managed to have my defective screen replaced by my dealer without shipping costs. You need to indicate that it's a dead-on-arrival failure. In that case, you're entitled to a brand new screen!

So, if you haven't done it yet, contact your dealer and ask them to set aside a new screen for you (so you won't have to wait for a restock...) so that it’s ready to be shipped quickly after you return your screen. Be careful to return the screen on a pallet.

Anyway, it's super frustrating, and I wonder where the quality control is at Panasonic!!
