Hello, I would like to know how to calculate my working hours with Excel.
Example
Monday 8:00 to 16:30
Tuesday 8:15 to 16:00
Wednesday 8:45 to 15:00
Thursday 8:00 to 15:45
Friday 8:15 to 15:45
On top of that, I want the total for the week but also how much that amounts to with my salary which is $18/hour

Hello,
Just a reminder that time is counted in base 60.
60s = 1 minute
60 minutes = 1 hour
24h = 1 day
With a rule of three, we can convert hours and minutes into hours and hundredths of an hour.
1h30 corresponds to 1.5 hours.
If you earn €18 per hour:
Do not confuse 46h30, which is 46.5h, with 46h50, which is 46h + (50x1/60), or 46.83h.

- 60 minutes correspond to 1
- 15 minutes correspond to 0.25
- 30 minutes correspond to 0.5
- 45 minutes correspond to 0.75
1h30 corresponds to 1.5 hours.
If you earn €18 per hour:
- you can either calculate 46.5 x 18 to get your salary
- or calculate 46h x €18/h + 0.5h x €18/h, which yields the same result.
Do not confuse 46h30, which is 46.5h, with 46h50, which is 46h + (50x1/60), or 46.83h.
